Terms of use
Being finalised · draft of 10 October 2026 · website and demo
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use anvesh.app and the Anvesh demo. By using them you agree to these terms. Anvesh is run by Dr Sushma Ramesh Rao, an independent researcher in Victoria, Australia. Paid subscriptions have their own written agreement.
2. What Anvesh is
Anvesh draws directional pathway diagrams from the published literature, for research. Each shown connection is marked with its source: a research paper, a review or a book, or "no citation yet". Anvesh is AI-assisted and literature-derived, and it can contain errors: read the cited source before relying on a connection.
3. Research use only, not clinical
Anvesh is for research only. It is not a medical device, and it must not be used to diagnose, treat or make decisions about any person.
4. The demo
- A demo code is for you alone: do not share it.
- It works for 7 days from first use, on at most two browsers.
- The demo draws from a small sample of the Ananta database, so diagrams are smaller than in the full app. It has no downloads or exports.
- We may end or change the demo at any time.
5. What you may not do
- Send any information that identifies a person, or any health or genetic information about a person.
- Copy, scrape or extract the database or its diagrams in bulk, or use them to build or train a competing database, dataset or model.
- Try to get round the demo code, the download lock or any security measure.
- Use Anvesh in a way that breaks the law or anyone's rights.
6. Who owns what
- Anvesh™, Ananta™, the software, the database and the website are ours.
- The papers, books and public data resources cited belong to their owners; see Data sources for the licences.
- Your data stays yours.
- Spectronaut, MaxQuant and DIA-NN are the property of their respective owners; Anvesh is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
7. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that:
- the website and demo are provided free, as they are, without any other promise that they are complete, accurate or always available;
- as far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect loss, or for decisions made from a diagram without reading its cited sources.
8. Links to other sites
Shown connections link to their sources where Anvesh holds one (for example on PubMed). Those sites have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
